Egwaine (Yvvone)

(Need a Better Picture and more details)

A female Priest of Kelemvor from Waterdeep. Seems to be genuinely interested in stopping this scourge of the worms and the evil Kyuss and his minions and the Ebon Triad of course. Not much else is known about Egwiane aside from the fact that she is definitely NOT an "unfocused lo-res Templar Knight".

Alobron - Need a Picture Matt

An orphan by nature, Alobron grew up surviving the tough streets of Waterdeep. This upbringing left him exceptionally strong and sturdy, but also helped him to develop extra cunning. Realizing he was smarter than those around him, he knew he needed to develop those talents.

He applied at the arena for work at the age of 14 where he was thrust into the gladatorial spotlight due to his physique. He spent his earned gold training. After a year of living in the arena, he had decided to focus his concentration on the falchion for its devastating abilities to cleave into foes. He also listened to and read many stories about the legendary people of his days.

He noted that there were many stories of famous warriors and many about famous wizards like Khelben Blackstaff. Using these stories as a basis, Alobron found a way to combine them with his heritage: "Might makes Right." Realizing that he survived this long by combining both his mind with his body, he knew he could go far beyond by combining his martial prowess with augmentation magic. Thus, he saved up for another year, hoping to get into Blackstaff Academy for magical training.

When he arrived at the front desk of the academy to apply, the receptionist smirked at him, "Your kind doesn't have the aptitude for this academy." In a rage, Alobron upended the desk on top of the clerk and leaped atop him. With only the chance to land three blows in, he was flung through the air by an unseen force. Crashing into the garbage in an alleyway across the street, Alobron saw a robed figure standing in the doorway, "You are not welcome here, never return."

Dismayed and furious by their rejection of him, Alobron searched the streets of waterdeep until he finally found a Thayan wizard to tutor him in the arcane arts. With his first task given to him by Frankel the Crimson Razor, Alobron ran to gather the inks and empty spellbook his new master had sent him to fetch. When Alobron returned, Frankel asked him what he wanted to learn. "To cast spells," is what Alobron replied.

After a year of training, Alobron was able to cast spells. Frankel laughed at Alobron, "You have the knack for wizardry even though you care nothing about magic. From your disposition and how you treat magic, you should travel the paths of the abjurant champion and eldricht knight. They also specialize in martial magic."

Hearing of an order of monks that were rumored to clear the mind to help rare individuals, Alobron set off to Diamond Lake to continue his journey. There was no other way for him to prove his belief: Brawn used with brains is the strongest.

Menelvagor

An Agent of the Elven Court, Menelvagor is a Wizard of High Elven Magic. He was sent to Waterdeep on specific orders to provide whatever assistance he could to Eligos the Sage and to learn as much as possible regarding this evil manifestation that is plaguing the Sword Coast and the Western Heartlands.

Menelvagor is a Sun Elf that loves the study and use of magic as much as the history of and politics of elves and the world. Being an avid reader he quickly became a reference for many of the elves and was an asset to the Court of Leithispar in Evermeet. His knowledge of history quickly (quick in an Elven sense of time) made him popular to those in the Elvin Court. Invited to parties, involved in meetings of those with power, sometimes even Queen Amlaruil, brought him much prestige yet Menelvagor held no position of his own. His preference for history rather than building power and alliances kept him around but never too involved. He was a tool that others used.

Being uninvolved and out of the power struggles was also an asset. He had no enemies in the court. All of the subtle, slow methods of Elvin Politics went on around him without any of the animosities developing. That allowed Menelvagor access to private libraries and knowledge that very few had.

The friends he now had gained him an audience and finally acceptance to the Elder Wizards of Evermeet. Here he began his development and practice of actually performing magic.. Menelvagor’s voracious appetite for knowledge initially gave him fast progress but lack of experience gradually tempered his pace.

His position in the Court was one of pride for his parents yet they regretted his never having a title. After 45 years at court and seeing no hint of alliances or titles developing they stopped discussing his activities.

His family originally was part of a small group of Sun Elves that spoke the Sindarin dialect. His father, Gilgaladhon and his mother Gilquenya both were descended from the royalty of the Sindarin Elves but their House had fallen in power many generations ago. The Sun and Moon Elves spoke in the Sylvan dialect and Menelvagor’s family was gradually changing to those around them. The parents’ names used ‘gil’ for the word star rather than ‘menel’ of the older dialect. All in his family had star in or referenced in their name.

Menelvagor’s parents had a dream after conception that their son to be born would be as a guiding star to a different time for the Elvin People. Feeling that their House was to return to power they named him after the star Orion in the older Sindarin dialect. Orion was the star that guided the elves to this continent in ancient (ancient in an Elven sense) histories. This allowed them to continue the tradition of using star in names of the family, honor the vision they both shared and put hope of their Family rising to power in his name.

Menelvagor’s study habits at first were a source of pride for the family but his lack of physical prowess or desire to use his knowledge quelled that pride. Content with his books he became a walking library for the local duke. When sent to court with Duke Galadhremmin Ennorath others began to seek him out for discussions on historical maneuverings.

Elated to be part of the Queen’s Court, regularly dining with the Elven royalty, invited to noble’s parties and access to more books than even a long lived elf might read put Menelvagor in a constant state of happiness. To use a human term, ‘he had found heaven.’

Sparrow - Deseased

Baloli was born in the small town of Diamond Lake to family of Moon Elves, the Melenril. Her father is Elrond and her mother is Galariel. She is the youngest of four children, two boys and two girls. Elrond is a guard of the Moonmeadow Estate and Galariel is a member of the Cult of Final Passage.

Baloli often spent long hours away from her parents, being reared by her older siblings Calanon, Adan and Maerwen. Baloli tagged along with her brother Adan when he was taking short trips around Diamond Lake. While on these trips she would hear tales from old storytellers about life out at sea. This evolved into a love for the sea that grew and grew. Finally it reached a point that all Baloli could think of, was high adventure on the open oceans.

These feelings grew stronger and stronger till one day she ran away to Waterdeep to seek employment out on the Sea of Swords. Now on her own, Baloli found herself in the city of wonder. Yet she had no place to call home. She only had a few silver pieces to her name and a dream in her heart. After a couple of days on the streets, Baloli found herself cold and hungry, with no help in sight. She was hanging around the dock’s searching for any kind of work. Picking up small jobs here and there she developed a reputation within the area. This provided Baloli with the opportunity to land a job as a crew member on ship call the White Swan. Her dream was coming true at last.

The White Swan was captained by a rough old privateer named Regan Ravenclaw. It was Regan that gave Baloli her nickname Sparrow. There were 2 reasons for this. One was because he was not able to pronounce her elven name properly and two because he thought she remind him of a sparrow because of the way she flew around the deck of the ship doing everything that was requested of her. A deep friendship developed between the two as Sparrow learned everything about ship life.

Several years passed and Sparrow as she was now known had her reputation growing as an able bodied sailor, and now first mate for Regan her life became quite fulfilled till that fateful day. Sail full and tacking the wind in the Sea of Swords, the White Swan was attacked by a pirate ship known as Snapped Mast. The two ships embattled for what seemed like hours. The Pirates out numbered the White Swan and were able to storm her. The White Swan was lost, Captain Regan died in the engagement and the First Mate was forced to strike the colors (surrender) as all was lost.

From Sailor to slave what a day, a day Sparrow will always remember as she swore to kill the pirate Captain, a Half Orc named Brokenjaw. Sailing with the pirates for almost three years was a long time for a slave. Sparrow waited for that one chance she’d need to catch Brokenjaw off guard and to escape. Then that day came as the Snapped Mast was attack by rival Pirates. Escaping from the hold of the ship Sparrow dove over board. Luck once more smiled on Sparrow as she was picked up by a local fishing boat that returned her to Waterdeep.

Many years had passed and now free Sparrow decided maybe it was time to return to Diamond Lake, worrying her luck had finally run out on the Oceans. It was time, maybe, for her to see her family again. Maybe she could find some adventuring ‘Land-Lubers’ to team up with, after all she had learned a thing or two while on the pirate ship. Arrrrrrrr!

Killed in Action - Three Hills Adventuring Company 1371 DR

Valcrist - Deceased

Valcrist was born and raised in Diamond Lake, but quickly learned to make his own way among the streets due to a competitive homelife with two working parents and four siblings constantly fighting for more. In his teens he left Diamond Lake, and put some of his more dubious skills to work with Nerjul the Black, a notorious bandit in the local area. As a bandit Valcrist, due to his natural agility, picked up the use of the crossbow, and began perfecting the skill necessary to use it with deadly accuracy. During this time he also met Aniphastus, a highly superstitious elven "spellthief", one who studied and experimented with the arts of stripping magical protections and spells from wizards, clerics, and even magical creatures. The next few years Valcrist spent under his tutelage, developing his apparent knack for "spellthieving", and also for believing anything Aniphastus told him with a passion. After his mentor was slain in a savage attack against the bandits by the lizardfolk of the area, Valcrist decided it was time to move back home and see how his family was doing. He also figured that there was more money and less risk in the one profession that he could legally use his many skills: Adventuring. And thus he came upon the Three Hills Adventuring Company, determined to pay off his parents debt, see the world, and develop and use these new found powers taught to him by his enigmatic elven tutor.

Killed after discovery and capture by Soldiers of the Lords' Army and after a trial before Black Robe Gaffney in Diamond Lake in 1371. Accused of being a Bandit and charge with High Crimes in service to Nerjul the Black.

Storn Stoneshield

Storn is a Shield Dwarf who grew up in Diamond Lake. His Family hails from the Mithril Halls far to the North. Storn has yet to visit his ancestral land and since incursion of the Dark Elves called drow, Storn, as most young Shield Dwarves, has chosen the path of Adventure to someday lead him back to his true homeland. Storn is a one Rugged and tough dwarf and epitomizes the Strong Stoic silent type. Interestingly, the other Heroes have seen already that Storn is deathly afraid of Worms. During Suzanna's speech about Worms Storn literally got on the table and prepared for battle. Storn used to work for Taggin at the General Store.

Dolgun Hardshield - Retired (NPC)

Dolgun is 4’6” and 168 pounds. He is a stocky young dwarf with very little muscle, but very nimble and in great health. His skin is a dark tan in color and looks a little bit leathery, while his hair is dark brown and eyes are brown. In addition to these, the mug of ale in his hand is brown. He is generally seen wearing his Breastplate (often covered in fruit) and has his large wooden shield strapped to his back, in an attempt to shield him from fruit thrown at him from behind. He is a drunk and boastful, though remarkably well spoken for a dwarf. If it wasn’t for being an assistant tax collector, people might actually like him.

Oh...and it is well known that Dolgun belches forth fire almost at will. While this is commonly thought to be due to his problem of constantly drinking only the strongest ales and brews known to man and dwarf alike, it may actually be due to some innate ability bestowed upon him due to his distant lineage. In any event, this trick served him well during his youth while he was part of the 'Freak Show' now located at the Emporium.

Dolgun has been retired and sent back to finish off his days with Jasper and Eldron... Having had his throat cut and his fire gland removed by Zyrzog the Illithid, Dolgun has sunk further into his alcoholism and is now retired.

Nora Behzadi - Deceased

KILLED BY HER FAMILY

Nora was born and raised in Diamond Lake to a Calashite family, rare in these parts except where there be dishonest work, plenty of wealth, and an immigrant working Calashite community. Diamond Lake is home to a number of Calashite families crammed into two large three story complexes on the Vein's west side. Having grown up in poverty as the oldest of three siblings, Nora is very Economical and monetarily self sufficient. She is the typical Calashite, so watch your things and listen carefully to her words as the truth is often deeply buried within them, sometimes. Known to the other new members of the Three Hills Adventuring Company as a former Burglar, Nora has sworn never to return to these Dishonest criminal ways and has found Adventuring as an honest means to ply her trade without breaking the law...or at least the spirit of the law. All know her father Hector, one of the clerks at Taggin's General Store. Nora is quite the looker and has done away with the veil sometime ago, much to the chagrin of her family and their traditional ways.

Killed by her Calishite Father in an honor killing based on shame she brought upon her family and disrespect toward her father... Rest in Peace 1371 DR.

Carenthal Tallstag - Retired (now deceased)

Carenthal Tallstag. Follower of Mystra and friend of Kamist has decided to join up with the Three Hills Adventuring Company. Carenthal Tallstag is the second to join the Three Hills Adventuring Company after Morgan Hizari opened the doors to a number of new members. Carenthal is one of a group of young Heroes who have returned home to Diamond Lake in hopes of scratching out a living and finding a way to help their families. Carenthal was always a pious man but now seems even more so and far from the rascal that used to run wild along the Vein with the likes of Kullen the albino Half Orc and the
too tall Kamist.

Just up and left the Adventuring Company, Last Seen in Waterdeep cavorting with the likes of Loris Raknian and Captian Okoral at the Fields of Triumph before his death at the hands of an unknown assassin. Suspicious.

Meet Kamist

As you walk into the Three Hills Adventuring Company building for the first time (as a member, that is), you see the common room is already full or people. The first person your eyes are drawn to is the tall Wizard in the corner talking to Elgan, Jerin, Tarin, & Sarin. Standing six feet four inches tall, he is wearing a green, pointed, “Wizard’s hat” that easily adds another eight inches to his overall appearance. A stylish green robe (probably bought in Waterdeep) hangs off his broad shoulders and seems to be concealing a strong, athletic body. He seems to want to announce the fact that he is a spellcaster by his choice in clothing alone. Lustrous, brown hair pours out from under his hat to cascade across these massive shoulders and as he glances your way to acknowledge your entrance with a welcoming nod, you can’t help but smile back because of the charming sparkle in his eye.

Of course you recognize him as Kamist Tirgan. He is a Diamond Lake resident who spent a few years in Waterdeep as an actor and comedian. In fact, you’ve caught his act at the Emporium several times. He’s hilarious, but what gets into an actor’s head to make him think he can become an adventurer?

As you walk across the room to Suzanna who is waiting here to greet you, she grins and motions over to Kamist, “He’s been telling that story for nearly a bell now, so don’t go over just yet. You want to hear this joke from the beginning.” Kamist’s arms gesticulate as his story draws to a close, revealing the ornate, green, glowing tattoo on his right arm. The tattoo extends all the way down to the tip of his pointing finger and disappears into the folds of his robe and probably rises all the way to his shoulder.

The only part of the story you hear is the very end, when he looks his audience right in the eye and says, “Fuck you, clown.” After a brief moment, you see the punch line sink in and four people burst into howling laughter.
